Almost Floating on CD

Raised by two career musicians, a piano playing mother, a guitar playing father, his aunts recorded with Columbia Records, his grandfather on his mother's side was a burlesque man, his grandfather on his father's side was a piano tuner. Lived in a home full of music and musicians, drifters and poets, painters and story tellers, magicians, bohemians who would sit up all night drinking gallons of tea and talking to whoever would listen about anything and everything; music, politics, religion, philosophy and life in general. He began creating his own tunes at thirteen years of age, playing in bands by 14. An Award Winning Songwriter some call a legend, a guitarist some admire, a singer although he cringes at compliments on a voice that in the words of those who know say 'it emotes' an artist who understands what paying your dues means. He has often been heard saying that he has never been very ambitous. He has turned down more opportunities than most ever encounter. His music is real and it touches people. His audience cares and he cares about them; 'it's all about them' he has said. Mike Stevens (Virtuoso and producer of Almost Floating) when asked why he chose to do this project, quickly and simply replied 'because he deserves it'. Jim has alot to share and feels it is time; 'I am not a writer, not a musician, a poet or a performer because of the desire for money or fame, no, not at all. I am an addict of expression, a junkie for the magic tune, a lover of what might be. I guess whether I succeed in any way that the world might acknowledge and respect is not why I do what I do. Music and performing is in my blood, my soul and always on my mind, I'm a lifer' .....There are many scattered across the net who are fans of the man, many claim his influence. Come on in, find out why.
