Playing with Toys on CD

I started out as a trumpet player, fumbled across a guitar, found some rythmn, and the rest is kind of explanitory. I toured around the West Coast playing gigs here and there, and then family happened. Job, mortgage, kids, etc. Nowadays, the music life has been enjoyed playing for the family, and for the past couple of years I've made a CD for those nearest me. Playing With Toys was the first serious effort at making a quality product out of previous recordings. Except for the Guitar and the Trumpet, the rest of the instruments came from my kids toy chest, and the DOES INCLUDE THE DRUMS!! It's amazing what you can do with ProTools! I wanted to make a CD that I could listen to. One that has great tunes, with a steady beat that sounds like the music of today. I did a great deal of research on the original intent of the songs I chose, found their history, and then I tried to arrange them in a way that would be-fit our lives in the modern era. Most of these songs were written before 1950, and some as far back as the early 1800s. Christmas music, or rather songs of religion, were the first 'pop' songs available; they were designed to deliver a message that was meaningful to a mass population. Playing With Toys is jus that. It has fun, music, and great sound. Enjoy it as much as I did making it, and as much as my family STILL LISTENS TO IT year round!! Thanks All!
