Description

Clean Rain on CD

Originally from Oklahoma, Jared moved to Kansas with his family and graduated from Goddard High School in Goddard, KS (near Wichita). In 1992 he received a vocal music scholarship at Friends University. During his first week at Friends University he met Rich Mullins in his Concert Choir class. The next day Jared asked Rich to be in a vocal trio with himself and a friend, Travis Ross. They immediately began meeting after choir where they would sing and basically goof off. Jared and Travis performed several concerts with Rich. Jared remained close friends with Rich until his tragic death in 1997. Over the last several years Jared has had the opportunity to work on many recordings vocally, including Rich Mullins' 'Liturgy, Legacy, and a Raggamuffin Band', Ryan Long's - 'Cry for Me', Micheal Aukofer's 'Appalachian Christmas Quartet' and finally his own 'Clean Rain' Produced by Michael Aukofer. The album Clean Rain is the first group of songs written by Jared. Clean Rain also includes Rich Mullins' song 'Hold Me Jesus' which was originally performed as a vocal trio by Rich Mullins, Jared Brown, and Travis Ross.
