'Jane Parker's breathy vocals, reminiscent of Rickie Lee Jones or sometimes Billie Holliday are both sultry and steamy as the bayou itself' Blueprint Magazine. Inspired by the likes of Billie Holliday and Dinah Washington, Jane cut her Musical teeth singing in the bars and drinking clubs of London's West End. She worked extensively with her band Lush Life whose musical adventures of heartbreak and redemption were captured on the album 'Alligator Lounge'(33 Records) and whose live work included residencies at Ronnie Scotts and the Cafe de Paris in London and Le Cafconce in Casablanca. 'A Whisper of Love A Whisper of Hate' is her first solo album and inspired by her love of cinema. The nine tracks include well-known and lesser known standards and also three original numbers. She works in and around the West End performing regularly at venues which include Quaglinos in Mayfair, Boisdales in Belgravia and the 606 Club in Chelsea.
