Mission Improbable on CD

Jam Sammich is an Indianapolis-based acid jazz/funk/rock band with an emphasis on danceable grooves. Emerging from the fertile soil of the Broadripple underground, Jam Sammich is bringing their unique show to nightclubs and other venues around Indiana and surrounding states. Jam Sammich's first CD, Mission Improbable, was released in November 2001. Mission Improbable is an hour of all instrumental music. The CD's eight songs explore a variety of funk, latin, and rock grooves and highlight the band's substantial group improvisation and soloing skills. Recorded live at RSPI studios in Indianapolis, the CD was mastered by Bob Katz, the grammy award-winning lead engineer at Digital Domain. Indianapolis-based jazz trumpeter Mark Buselli, a principal of the Buselli-Wallerab Big Band and the Mid-Coast Swing Orchestra, is featured on two tracks, playing trumpet, flugelhorn, and congas.
