Forever on CD

With the release of her first independent CD recording, "Forever", Ingrid April Bohannon is living a God-given dream planted in her heart many years ago. "Forever" is the fruition of a labor of love and the effective, fervent prayer of the righteous over the years. It exhibits the relationship between God the Father and the Princess Daughter of the Most High; and it displays the divine romance between Jesus, the Savior and Ingrid, the redeemed. With a focus on lyrical content, it's purpose was to instruct, edify, build up, strengthen, encourage and empower the listener - to convict, not condemn, according to the Word of God. The vocal gift of Ingrid Bohannon has been a work-in-progress since her early days in Chicago, Illinois, singing her heart out in her bedroom along with the likes of Karen Carpenter and Phyllis Hyman. Ingrid has been singing for most of her life. Born the eldest of two children to Abel and Patricia Bohannon, she honed her craft during her four-year matriculation at Clark-Atlanta University, gaining valuable vocal instruction as a member of The Philharmonic Society, and through years of studio work as a background, jingle and demo vocalist. She was featured in numerous on and off-campus productions, and in an off-Broadway production of "The Wiz" as Glenda, the good witch. She's performed in Chicago's prestigious Aire Crown Auditorium, participated in several showcases, and most recently was a featured soloist with the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra in "A Gospel Christmas 2001". Ingrid's voice has been described as melodious, rich, full and soothing. She's not just concerned with sounding good, but rather seeing the fruit of the music demonstrated in changed lives. The 2002 "Forever" collection features 11 genre-spanning tracks that range from rock and pop to Contemporary Christian and Inspirational; from romantic ballads with haunting melodies, to driving dance tunes with captivating rhythms, all containing thought-provoking, lyrical depth. A divine class, grace, style, poise and elegance are evidenced in her music and in her character, as she strives daily to become the virtuous woman spoken of in Proverbs 31; to be a suitable role model for the younger generation of what a real Christian woman looks like on all fronts.
