Same Stuff As Our Dreams on CD

I'mego is a side project of Anton Goodchild where he teamed up with drummer Chris Morse and bass player Adam Kelleher. The aim of the project was to create a hard hitting album that explored life, love and the human mind and soul and that's pretty much what resulted. The chemistry of the 3 musicians coming together resulted in a dynamic and exciting sonic experience that stands out as something special. Incorporating samples, electronica and even opera the album takes the listener on a fascinating journey of emotions and moods from the dark and brooding to the elated and mysterious. Anton wrote the songs and then allowed Chris and Adam a lot of freedom to express and work their magic. The album also presents some toned down love ballads which gives the album and the listener alike the opertunity to take a deap before they are swooped off their feet into another rollercoaster ride of sonic adventure. Highly acclaimed at it's' time of release "Same Stuff as Our Dreams" remains a master peace to this day. The name I'mego is derived from "I am ego" which is a spiritual concept of the self being created through word and stories. The name came to Anton in a dream and he straight away new it would be the name of his project band. This concept of the ego is explored throughout the album put together with some hard hitting rocked out funk. The album was recorded at various recording studios but was predominantly done in Anton's bedroom slash studio (a converted garage in the share house Anton was living at the time). It was later released on Anton's BugEye Records label and received radio play throughout Australia.
