Ten Basic Recommended Rudiments for Percussionist on CD

SIKE cds for DRUMMERS This is a 'MADE-SIMPLE-SELF-TEACHING' approach to learning/practicing select rudiments! SPECIAL NOTE: 'IT'S IMPORTANT TO READ, BUT DON'T FORGET YOUR SPEED (RUDIMENTS)'!! Coach Ike Alexander Ike's slogan: ' Real Drummers Know RUDIMENTS'!! FOOD-FOR-THOUGHT: 'Ten is a number that you can remember'!! IKE'S-BRIEF-BIO (47 yrs. Playing & still going strong): Nominated and qualified for the Georgia Governor's Honors Program in high school, based on rudiments played on the snare drum. A.S. Degree: Liberal Arts University System of Washington at Tacoma Community College-Tacoma, Washington. B.S Degree: Mental Retardation and K-12 Columbus State University-Columbus,Georgia. Snare drum percussionist for concert band. Master's Degree: Mental Retardation Columbus State University. Air Force Drum and Bugle Core Amarillo A.F. Base Texas. Drummer for opening acts for: The Commodores, Earth,Wind and Fire, The O'Jays. Back up Drummer for Peggy Scott and JoJo Benson, Clarence Carter. Appeared on numerous shows with James and Bobby Purifier. Played for the national touring Ebony Fashion Fair. Played for a host of other Groups to include: Bobby and The Inn Keepers, The Jamming Jammers, The Sensations, The Swinging Kings, The Rams, Ambience, Mateus and I'm currently with The Lou Vallee Trio. Placed in the archives of The Georgia Music Hall of Fame, located in Macon, Georgia. These are just to name a few of my numerous academic and musical experiences as a percussionist. The CD was inspired because of my love for rudiments and a hope of giving back. The CD narrates and demonstrates each rudiment from a very slow to a very fast and back to a very slow again. Each rudiment is on it's own individual track. The target groups are beginning and intermediate drummers, although some advanced drummers may benefit from this instructional tool.
