Idaho Greentracks: A Party Sampler is a new compilation CD featuring 18 Idaho musicians, each showcasing their unique musical styles. The Greentracks CD was originally a benefit produced and distributed by the now-defunct Idaho Green Party. This CD is the first of it's kind in the West, bringing together 18 bands and musicians in the state, all committed to political progress. The bands on the Greentracks CD offer an astonishing range of music - everything from the experimental avant-jazz of Lowbelly to the rawk of Upinatem and the indie-pop of The Very Most. There's also a special track from Idaho's indie alchemists Built to Spill, who contributed a studio version of their oft-requested Ozzy Osbourne cover, Mr Crowley. Idaho Greentracks features various styles of music from Idaho artists Built to Spill, Carl Rey, Greg Kelly, Bob Picard, The Very Most, Lowbelly, Kris Doty, The Acoustic Wave Machine, R Heroz, Bonefish Sam and His Power Orchestra, Wendy Matson, Booth Sitter, Upinatem, Mike Blomquist, Mary Asparagus, Central Boise Library, Gwen Sanchirico, and Joe Bejsovec. Idaho Greentracks was manufactured by Earthology Records, the only socially and environmentally responsible record company in the country. The jewel cases are all reused, and the CD inserts are made of 100% post-consumer recycled paper printed with nontoxic soy inks.
