Orbits on CD

Hydrophonic -- Named 'Artist you should know about' by Relix Magazine (Hydrophonic appears in the June '03 issue) Hydrophonic releases '...prolific... ...fascinating...' debut album 'Orbits' --Michigan Bands.com, Detroit, MI '...plenty of melody... ...a good blend of sounds... ...sophisticated...' --Relix Magazine, New York, NY Hydrophonic, recently reviewed in Relix Magazine's 'On the Verge', exists in a landscape of it's own. Pushing musical boundaries beyond cosmic limitations with grooves as seamless as space itself, this improvisational band has created a unique signature sound that pleases crowds and packs venues both on the road and in the band's hometown of Lansing, Michigan. The quartet is comprised of founders Pete Moody (guitar, vocals) and Jeff Greetis (bass) as well as Mike Lynch (organ) and Murray Stewart-Jones (Drums). Pete LeClair has also been added to the line-up to perform guitar duties. All are seasoned musicians with extensive experience and diverse backgrounds, adding his or her own funky flavor to Hydrophonic's veritable melting pot of sound. The band's first full-length studio album 'Orbits' is a healthy serving of ear candy that can gratify anyone's musical taste. With each track dedicated to a different celestial body, 'Orbits' leads the listener through the solar system by fusing jazz, funk, rock, gospel and everything in between. The final product is dizzying and addictive, leaving the listener craving for more. With it's members having shared bills with renowned national touring acts such as Domestic Problems, Knee Deep Shag, The Zen Tricksters, and Ekoostic Hookah, Hydrophonic is a bright new star on the musical horizon. The band's sound dances the thin line between dream state and consciousness; it is the hook you can't get out of your head, the sun you can't help but stare into. Hydrophonic is poised on the launch pad of stardom... just be sure you're there when it takes off.
