Happy Hour on CD

Hitoast - pronounced hi-toast, formed from a trio that met at a keg in Worcester, MA. Hitoast began as a party band and like true non-conformists they basically stayed a party band. The original trio of Russell Addison, Rob Zawadzkas and Paco Garcia soon grew to five as they added Frank John and Vic Taylor - former band members of Zawadzkas'. If nothing much became of their rare performances across New England and New York, they did manage to record a lot of songs - powerful songs. While many close to hitoast often wondered how long the band would last, the band motto became 'hitoast is dead, long live hitoast!'. The difficulties of maintinaing the band grew as legal, finaincial, and mental issues evolved. Luckliy, Garcia had saved the master recordings and was able to organize the album. Happy Hour is a compilation of some of the bands favorite songs. Many songs were originally scheduled for the unreleased Boston Drain album, but only a few made it as far as the HEARING demo. Happy Hour is reflective of Addison's bouts with depression - and the entire bands' dissonant world view. Under new management, hitoast still lives in the creative veins of it's band and is currently working on the release of a second album scheduled for the Winter of 2004.
