Parlons de Toi on CD

About Barry Little, songwriter: Barry's musical beginnings can be traced to the 30's, 40's and 50's when his parents operated a burlesque and vaudeville theatre in Toronto. As an impressionable youngster, he heard first-hand the music of many legendary jazz musicians and great composers from all over North America. Barry has had a life-long immersion in various musical genres, but his love for lyricism in the music of Gershwin, Porter, Rogers and Kern remains a major influence in his composing and songwriting. About Gisèle Fredette, singer and songwriter: Gisèle was born into a musical family and began her career singing cabaret and jazz songs. Her studies in classical singing have allowed her to perform on many stages the world over. She sings in eight languages, crosses over into many genres and is performing constantly. She and Barry developed an instant rapport when they met in 2001 and began writing songs together. About the CD: 'PARLONS DE TOI' contains a variety of musical styles - jazz, traditional, popular and Latin. Gisèle's lovely singing forms the backbone of this CD. The tunes were written by Barry. Multi-talented Gisèle wrote the lyrics to "Allo" and "Secret d'amour". The remaining lyrics are Gisèle's skilled French translations of Barry's songs. A world-class group of Canadian musicians were involved in creating this CD. Frank Falco did the musical arrangements and editing, and played piano brilliantly for the recording. The other fabulous musicians were Mike Downes on acoustic bass, Jane Fair on flute, Lorne Lofsky on guitar and Ben Riley on drums.
