All songs on this enhanced CD were written by this versatile, bilingual singer/songwriter and produced by Argentinean producer Martin Van; except for "Rock Your World" & it's Spanish version "Volverte Loco", which were produced by former Arista Records recording artist Andy Mendelson. On this album Gabriela takes the listener on an emotional journey singing about masochism in "Wasted Crippled Torn", drug addiction in "Crash"..."No More Lies" is clearly a declaration of independence. Gabriela Flores was born in New York City to Argentinean parents. She spent her childhood in Buenos Aires where at a very early age her strong vocals and love for music secured her steady work with local recording studios in the southern port city. She became the lead vocalist on numerous TV jingles and won a spot in the children's chorus at the prestigious Teatro Colon Argentino. As a teen, Gabriela began writing original material and released her first LP, a dance oriented LP titled "Woman DJ", distributed by Distribuidora Belgrano Norte in Buenos Aires. Back in the US since the mid 90's, Gabriela has taken her music to venues in Miami, Los Angeles and NYC, where she's shared the stage with major acts including the late Tejano singer Selena, Thalia and Carlos Ponce. Most recently she's performed at "Backstage at the Grammy's", a two day event leading to the Grammy Awards in Los Angeles, California. Part of Gabriela Flores'album's proceeds are proudly being donated to the Susan G. Koman Breast Cancer Foundation in memory of our beloved Soraya.
