Green Reeds on CD

French "N" Key, are a guitar and vocal duo comprised of Dennis Key, an Englishman living in Santa Barbara, California, and Daniel French a California native from Los Angeles. Dennis and Daniel met while Dennis was playing bass in a band called Deuce Deuce. The band was looking for a lead guitarist, and Daniel was the thirteenth to audition. He immediately made an impression and the band was soon recording it's debut CD titled " Live Like King's", at Dave Fortman's Studio in New Orleans. When the band folded due to the usual artistic differences, the pair drifted through several other bands as their musical friendship flourished. They had both collected many songs, that had not been taken-up by the various collaborations, and so decided to strike out on there own with this, their first CD, French "N" Key, "Green Reeds". Both Dennis and Daniel have other solo CD's. Dennis Key has one called "In Harms Way" available on CD Baby. This CD is mainly a rough collection of songs recorded at home shortly before Dennis had a motorcycle accident in 2002, which left him with severely damaged wrists. Unable to re-record this CD, it was placed on CD Baby as is. One of the song's, " In Harms Way", was re-recorded for this, the "GreenReeds" CD. Daniel French has several CD's which have yet to be made available on CD Baby, but it is hoped, they will be shortly.
