Here I Am on CD

F R E D D I E 'D' The time has come and the fans are ready to go back to the days when an artist was 'a real artist'...possessing an air of sophistication, elegance, class, and style. Our artists were appreciated and respected for embodying those positive characteristics, and were a positive force in our community. FREDDIE 'D' is that kind of performer. His sound is sophisticated, elegant and powerful! His stage presence is one that reaches the heart and moves those who have loved and are in love. FREDDIE 'D' is a real artist, and a welcomed return to the days of 'real', sweet, and soulful entertainment. FREDDIE'S career began at a young age, as the leader of a vocal group 'THE MIRACULOUS FOUR'. The group was formed in New Orleans, Louisiana and toured with such artists as 'B.B. KING', 'BOBBIE BLUE BLAND', 'JEAN KNIGHT', 'KING FLOYD', 'TONY OWENS', 'ARCHIE BELL & THE DRELLS', 'TARVERS BROTHERS', 'AARON NEVILLE', 'THE METERS', 'SWISS MOVEMENT & LOUISIANA PURCHASE', and 'MILLIE JACKSON' to name a few. FREDDIE 'D' has worked in the music industry as a professional background singer, vocal/music arranger and orchestrator. He has worked in Los Angeles with Dr. Margaret Pleasant Doureaux and THE HERITAGE MUSIC FOUNDATION as arranger for Gospel Musicals and live television performances. FREDDIE 'D' demonstrated his vast talents by writing and arranging for 'THE PSALMS 150 HORN SECTION', 'THE SUMMER CHRISTIAN MUSIC WORKSHOP', and 'THE McCOY MEMORIAL BAPTIST CHURCH' for GOSPEL MUSICALS. FREDDIE is a talented writer/producer, as well as a gifted vocalist. His voice has several dimensions (one that can gracefully move from a powerful baritone, to a mellow tenor...or reach your soul with a sweet falsetto). He has successfully mastered music programming and sequencing via 'state of the art music software' and has used this craft in live performances and recording sessions, producing projects on Rosonna Ison, L.A. Sizzle and himself). In addition to the above, FREDDIE 'D' has recorded with artists: such as actor Carl Weathers, also known as 'Action Jackson', Geri Logan, Black Ice (H.D.M. Records, Hadley Murrell Producer); O'Malley Jones (Airwave Records, Tom Depierro Producer); D'llegance (Altair/Airwave Records, Rick Gianatos Producer); Jane Edwards (Profile Records/Altair Records, Rick Gianatos Producer); Malteze (R.H.O. Records, Jon Pilla Producer); Baby Blue Boova Records, R. Wheaton & C. Jackson Producers. FREDDIE 'D' has also assisted in creating background vocal arrangements, along with performing as a background vocalist for RICK GIANATOS PRODUCTIONS. FREDDIE 'D', in addition to being a solo performer, is presently one of the 'Soundflyte Singers' for SOUNDFLYTE PRODUCTIONS (who has appeared at TEDDY'S LIVE at Underground Atlanta, and will be appearing at CEASAR'S PALACE & THE 'MIRAGE' in Las Vegas during February '94). FREDDIE has sung background vocals with actor Carl Weathers, Cindy Birdsong (The Supremes), Edna Wright (The Honeycombs), Pat Hodges (Hodges, James, & Smith), Geri Logan, Jane Edwards, Martha & Izola (The Weathers Girls), Sheri Payne (The Supremes), Howard Huntsberry (Klique), Romeo Williams (Producer of Herb Alpert's 'Behind The 8 Ball' album) and Lawrence Hilton Jacob (Actor). FREDDIE studied music at Los Angeles City College. His courses included Voice, Ear Training, Harmony & Keyboard Harmony, Italian Voice, Concert Orchestra, Big Band Orchestra, Orchestration & Arranging, Flute, Tenor Sax, and Piano. Performances in 1993/94 include working shows with artists such as 'G.C. Cameron', 'Lenny Williams', 'J. Blackfoot', 'Johnny Taylor' and 'Millie Jackson' and vocal group 'First Class'. In addition, FREDDIE graced the pages of the Atlanta Metro News as one of the featured singers at it's 2nd Annual 'Weddings For Us' Expo and Bridal Fashion Show, January '94.
