Payolla 'The Classic'
- Artist: Franch Braid
- Format: CD
- Release Date:9/4/2007
This street hustler/underground rap veteran puts the underground rap world in a verbal choke hold with his forth coming album, "Payolla, The Classic/Claiming da Streetz". Northern born but, dirty south raised, Franch Braid's seasoned flow is guaranteed to stand the test-of-times with the most respected rappers in the industry today. Introduced to the game in the early nineties by his life long comrades, Black and Wild of "The Black Knights", Franch Braid joined forces with "Suicide" AKA Mack Marvin, and formed the underground rap duo, "Southern Dialect". During their journey, the group collaborated with some of the south's most respected artists and producers including David Banner, Kamikaze, Freddie Young, Kage, Lamorris Williams, and C-Loc. In an attempt to gain more exposure and display their lyrical talent, Mack Marvin migrated to Memphis, Tenn, on a solo mission to establish a strong foundation in the Memphis underground rap world. Shortly after, Franch Braid rejoined his other half of the rap duo and migrated to Memphis as well. During Franch's solo career he became frustrated with paying countless dues and began producing his own tracks due to high studio expenses. In 2004 he hooked up with his childhood partner/rapper, Wild and founded, "Above All Records." It wasn't long before the two talented artists started to bang out underground hits in the studio and decided to introduce their talents by releasing the introduction of Franch Braid's long awaited album, "Payolla, The Classic/Claiming the Streetz", on "Payolla, The Classic da mix-tape". Franch Braid's "Payolla, The Classic/Claiming da Streetz" is the most well rounded album since Dr. Dre's, "The Chronic" album. Now the time has come to claim the streets! The days of releasing one hit song and an album full of garbage are over!
