Taming a Shrew on CD

Flea Circus' debut album, "Taming a Shrew," is straight ahead, guitar-driven, Rock Americana. Think Classic Rock sound of Tom Petty with a modern treatment a la Nickleback. Flea Circus comes by way of New York, Fargo, and Venezuela, and is currently a Santa Barbara, CA based band. Long-time collaborators Doug Goodner and Greg Bergan joined forces with engineer/producer Cutmaster J in 2008 to bring their latest vision to the public. Individually, all three musicians have a long history of touring the bars of America with acts ranging from Rock to Country to Reggae. Their love of music of all kinds creates a unique American rock sound that will be familiar to your dad or your niece. After consuming 624 tortillas, 20 pounds of beef, 20 pounds of beans (Greg's a veggie), 312 beers, 10 bottles of wines, 3 bottles of Scotch, 3 bottles of Gin, a few bottles of Tequila, 18 pizzas, and assorted candies, cookies and cakes, we are proud to pronounce that the "Taming a Shrew" creation is alive. Through the seemingly endless hours of late night mixing, tracking and re tracking, fighting both cold and hot conditions, a host of technical computer challenges, and even taking breaks while mixing to watch the "Gap Fire" lick over the hill behind the studio one evening - incidentally, the next night we were evacuated - we got through it. Not only did we survive, we are still speaking with each other and are working on our second video and second album. We look forward to our next release to bring to light many of our other little darlings that are waiting to be heard. If anybody is still reading this, I hope you stay and listen to the songs. We also hope that you will enjoy them enough to consider buying a song, or the album. We believe it's important to support locally grown art and get your fill of free-trade music. If you don't buy our tracks, buy someone else's and grease the skids of creative endeavors. Make dreams come true, cheers! Please provide comments on this page as well. (Preferably if you have something nice to say.)
