Unbound on CD

Elise Osner's Healing Journey has long revolved around her music. A classically trained flutist, performer, and teacher, she makes her home in Modesto, California, between the Sierra Nevada Mountains and the Pacific Ocean, both sources of inspiration for her composition and playing. Her interest in all the world's flutes has drawn her to the Native American flute, unique among all flutes in it's tone production, an instrument that speaks from soul to soul. Elise's music is blessed with an unforgettable tone that will draw you in and share healing with you. 'Unbound' features 3 flutes. The E flute is made of cherry wood and is a thick bore flute with a correspondingly rich tone. The D flute is a 6-hole cedar flute with interchangeable resonating plates of copper and wood, and her low D reaches deep into the soul. The F# flute is a 5-hole flute from Albuquerque. She is made of padauk wood with a walnut bird fetish. 'Unbound', Elise's initial release, is recorded with only natural reverberance. Two tracks feature spontaneous duets composed with birds in the Sierra, one a warbler at Camp Connell, Calaveras County, the other a pair of eaglets at Lyons Lake, Tuolumne County. The music on 'Unbound' is the result of Elise's Healing Journey and as healing music, much of it was received as a gift rather than crafted. Elise is a master teacher and has trained hundreds of students over the years. She performs regularly in the Western United States. She has been playing the silver flute all her life, and Native American flutes for a decade. When not making music, Elise pilots a hot air balloon and can often be found with a flute in the balloon basket.
