Six to Ten Maybe on CD

Elephant Gerald began when founding members David Allison (lead guitar, keyboards, and vocals), Giuseppe Manzella (lead vocal and rhythm guitar), and Brian Damage (bass guitar and vocals) united to craft aggressive, hook-laden songs that encapsulated all the energy, imagination, and grit they felt their music should reflect. With various drummers, the band honed their high-energy stage show at Detroit-based clubs such as Lili's 21, The Shelter, the Magic Bag, and the Seventh House, and in 1997 they recorded and released a CD. Entitled Elephant Gerald, this recording brought them a larger fan base that led to their performances in cities beyond Detroit, including Chicago. In 1998, after the permanent addition of drummer Michael Fulgenzi, the band continued to mature and develop, refining their live show even further and expanding their instrumentation to include keyboards and layered vocal harmonies. In the summer of 1999, the the band recorded and released an eclectic seven-song demo EP. Now one of the top alternative bands in Detroit, Elephant Gerald has released their new album, Six to Ten (Maybe). In the following months, they will also continue performing at select alternative venues and clubs, gaining recognition with their singular artistry and unwavering belief in independently driven music.
