Love Is the Way on CD

Duke Bojadziev is a music composer/producer based in New York City. Recent film credits include writing and orchestrating on 'Hell' directed by Danis Tanovic, 'The Ten' directed by David Wain and 'Shadows' by Milcho Manchevski. His discography includes four albums (Love is the way, Digital confessions I & II and Esma's Dream), and has been featured on multiple compilations (Chill Out in Paris 4, 5 & 7, Marrakech Express 2, Fashion Week 5). Duke's work has been licensed worldwide for film ("Suffering Man's Charity", "Shortcut to Nirvana"), TV adverts (Anna Sui, L'oreal, L'ancome, Mercedes), TV shows (Martha Stewart), and exclusive websites (W hotels, Vanity Fair). He is originally from Macedonia, where he grew up and was influenced by Eastern European, Mediterranean and Balkan music. Playing piano since the age of 3, Duke has performed in many venues around the world with many of his colleagues and collaborators, Angela McCluskey, TelepopMuzik, The Citizen's Band, Paul Cantelon, Gina Gershon, Cyndi Lauper and Mrs.Esma Redzepova to name just a few. LOVE IS THE WAY (2008) is inspired by the timeless divine poetry of Jalal ad-Din Muhammad Rumi from XIII-th Century, blended with Macedonian and Balkan traditional beats and melodies to eastern european vibe. My deepest gratitude to the inspiring talents of Ian Buchanan - spoken word on Rumi, Vlada Tomova and Krste Rodzevski - vocals, Ismail Lumanovski - clarinet, Mathias Kunzli- percussions, Olivier Manchon - viola & violin and Christopher Hoffman - cello.
