Dave Thomas is an up and coming musician from Northern Indiana who writes music that is based on real life experiences he has gone through in his life. \'I try to write music that allows me to relate to every person. The music that is on Back To Life represents the last 10-12 years of my life and the trouble and turmoil that goes along with loving and losing people that are close to your heart.\' Thomas, D.T. as his friends call him, pours his heart out in his debut CD that contains 12 songs that are sure to evoke emotions from deep within your heart that you may have forgotten about but still linger on inside. The album Title Back to Life is named after the title track on this CD which gives the listener the idea that even through all of the songs about love lost that there is a light at the end of the tunnel. Thomas says about the Title Track, \'You know, I had been writing music about all of the negative things that had happened in my life. I mean, there are songs on this album that go back to feelings about the first girlfriend I ever had to my recent divorce. That in mind, I sat down and wrote a song about what it must feel like to meet a person that can take all of those feelings of guilt, anger, and loss and make you completely forget they happened. I swear to God, this album has been such a release for me. I only hope that the fans and non-fans alike that hear this music can relate to it in one way or another. If that\'s the case than I think I have succeeded.\' D.T., is relatively new to the music business, but is already making an impact locally. He has created a fan base very quickly partly due to his ability at concerts to get listeners to feel the emotion in his music. \'It\'s not just going up on stage and strumming and singing. Simply put, it\'s about making the audience feel the same shit I\'m feeling and connecting with them on that level.\' If you get a chance to see him perform you will understand exactly what D.T. is talking about. Most nights he plays solo and can be seen with his hat pulled down tightly over his eyes, eyes closed, and rocking back and forth seemingly lost in the music he has written. His voice gets soft as a whisper and then climaxes with an Eddie Vedder like scream that will send chills down your spine. He literally makes you feel every emotion he is singing about. I think it\'s safe to say that while, as his album suggests, he was once \'Dead Inside\', his music is slowly bringing him \'Back to Life.\'
