Long Way Back to San Antone on CD

Drew Scott-Singer-Songwriter-Troubadour Drew Scott. What can I say. Alot, If you let me ramble on for a few days! At the young age of 16 he left home and the young man headed west, way west like San Francisco California. He was befriended by an old man who took him under his wing so to speak. Drew was't having any luck getting a job because of his age and took to panhandling. He was able to make enough panhandling to buy himself an old used guitar from a pawnshop. That's really where the story begins. On that old guitar is where he started writing his first tunes. After he had written a few of his own and learned a couple of standard blues and country songs (Muddy Waters & Hank Williams Sr.) he took to the streets and found out he could make a pretty good living setting up on a corner and just pickin' and grinnin'. He'd just leave his guitar case open and people would throw money in it. After awhile at this he found that he had alot more country boy in him than city boy. So what does he do? He hits the road again, hitchiking around the USA two complete times again before ending up in Lubbock Texas. Home of Buddy Holly, Joe Ely, Waylon Jennings etc. This is really where gets his inspiration. Dust storms and cotton fields and fried chicken gizzards Oh Yeah! And don't forget Stubb's BBQ. Oh by the way he played there when the building was still on Broadway and Stubb's was still alive. He even used to host some of the wednesday and thursday night jams down at the infamous Main Street Saloon. Wild nights yes indeed! He's played in too many bands to mention! As you know, it's all about the song, and the songs are here! This will be the first mainstream release of Drew Scott's songs, and you owe it to yourself to go along for the ride. 30 years of pen to paper is yours to be had. Don't miss this one for nothin'!
