Songs for Good Lives on CD

Deeplay Music launch a new sub-label with a more edgy attitude. And who wouldn't be more appropriate than Swedish maestro Dibaba. He amplifies what Soultec is all about, electronic music for the future. After a few singles on quality labels like PIAS and Skyline, it's time for us to present his debut album. Songs For Good Lives is not your average electronic album. As the name implies, it is actually full of songs. Songs for your headphones, for the dance floor, or for the after party. In short: songs for good lives. Instead of doing the rounds of collaborations with different vocalists for every tune Dibaba decided early, that in order to make an album that feels as complete as albums used to feel - he had to do it himself. So he sang all the songs himself. The result is a record you easily can listen to from start to finish. It has hard tunes, soft tunes, even ballads...! But then Dibaba isn't your average house-DJ. He has played in several indie-bands, as well as been involved in electronic avant projects. He gets his inspiration from 60: s jazz and pop, African music, Bob Dylan, skyscrapers, zeitgeist literature, electronic soundscapes, travelling...rather than the latest dance-tracks. Mix all that and you have "Songs for Good Lives". Still it doesn't sound like anything else. First single from the album "Kill Rock N Roll (Let It Bleed)" which got rave reviews in key magazines and been played on national radio stations all over the world. It also got licensed to Global Underground in the UK for a release with new mixes. Also check out second single "Love Train" with hot mixes from John Dahlbäck and Andreas Tilliander.
