Rock Bivrit on CD

Rock B'ivrit is an album of original Hebrew compositions by composer / keyboardist / vocalist producer David Kamenir. The album contains a mixed bag of song styles ranging from rock, pop and swing to klezmer, bossa nova, country and ballads. The album features a great band of local Los Angeles studio musicians and fun arrangements. The vocals are by David Kamenir and friends, and a children's chorus is included too. One of the tracks, Kam's Nigun, is an original klezmer tune composed by David 'Kam' Kamenir (hence the title of the composition) and the clarinet solo is by Klezmer clarinetist David Perkins. David Kamenir has been playing music throughout Southern California for many years. He is the music director of Adat Ari El, a temple in Valley Village, CA. David also works at several other temples and has been the musical director for many shows . David also performs with his band at many concerts, shows, weddings and many other events. This last year David and his trio were featured in a national T.V. commercial for Ameritrade. David also performed 'Rhapsody in Blue' at the opening ceremonies of the 1984 Olympics. He has also composed two musicals and has written music for several T.V. commercials, including Winston Tires and Mattel. David has also produced three other CD's, 'There are No Delis in Ensenada', 'Rock B'ivrit' and 'Jazzy Holidays'.
