Hymns of Praise on CD

Hymns of Praise is a collection of favorite hymns in a classical orchestral setting. I picked Holy, Holy, Beautiful Savior, Rock of Ages and seven other all time favorite hymns and did full orchestral arrangements with digital keyboards. I did this while on tour with all time biggest selling male artist 'Garth Brooks'. I was Garth's Keyboard-bandleader the 10 years he toured and recorded. I used a laptop, Kurzweil digital keyboard and headphones and worked on these in motel rooms during the day while on tour. We play many multiple dates in large cities. This cut down on travel that gave us more time during the day to work on other projects. I did these the last 3 years of the tour. I mixed and finished the project at home. My music career started at home with both parents being music teachers. I studied viola, piano, and trombone from grade school through college as a music major. From jr. high on my goal was to play in major touring acts. I played in bands through jr. high and high school. I started playing clubs at 15 and continued for another 20 yrs. My travels started in Oklahoma City, going to college at Central Oklahoma and Oklahoma University. I played with several bands in the area including New World Band. During my senior year at OU I worked with Terry Ware who got me on with Texas outlaw, Ray Wylie Hubbard. We opened for Willie Nelson that year. I then moved to Los Angles and free-lanced doing sessions, parties and clubs. During this period I worked with major LA producers and sidemen including Pete Anderson, Jerry Cole, Al Bruno and countless others. My last move was to Nashville where I met Garth and joined his touring band Stillwater. Initially I played fiddle and keyboards. In 96' he hired a fiddle player so I played keyboards and led the band.
