David Fair is a breath of fresh air to the Pop Alternative Rock/World Music Scene. Expressing an honesty that is touching audiences wherever he performs, his material and live shows dramatically affect audiences. David was born to a musical and songwriting family and spent his youth surrounded by music. By age 8 he was acting, singing, dancing, and playing drums. At the age of 12 he began modeling professionally, appearing in commercials for Caster Knott, JC Penny, Taylor Drugs, Dollar General and Fisher Nuts, and appeared in La Boheme, the opera. At age 15 David formed his first band, 'Walt - Dizzy'. Creating a southern hard rock sound they opened up for bands such as Steppenwolf and headlined local shows throughout the South while developing a strong following. Still in his teens David then joined the hard rock metal band Medicine Mann as front man and co-songwriter and toured the south, opening for such bands as: Quiet Riot, Skid - Row, Warrant, Twistesd Sister, and Mother Earth. In 1999 he moved to San Francisco to develop his solo career and broaden his musical focus to all forms of rock and world music. The David of today expressess all that is good in Pop while maintaining the edginess of his hard rock and metal influences. David lists his Major Influences as: Joe Fair (his father), Billy Falcon, John Gorka, John Prine, Billy Joel, Bon Jovi, Tracy Chapman, and Peter Gabriel.
