Chapp on CD

Guitarist Dave Wood has taken a giant step forward after years spent behind the scenes as a sideman in several successful bands. Échappée means escape....escaping musical boundaries, genres and titles that we are so anxious to embroider on everything new that we hear. No limits, no restrictions, no holding back. Dave put together an amazing cast for Échappée....on drums, Chris Michael, with a guest spot by Doug Clark on the title track, Dave Hertzberg on upright bass, Matt Shulman on trumpet, Andy Parsons on saxophone, Nick Mancini on vibes, Roland Satterwhite vocalist on Cannon Love, and Christian Howes on violin and viola. BIO: Guitarist/producer/composer Dave Wood has performed with Jesse McCartney, Marie' Digby, Lil Wayne, Ludacris, Laura Bryna, Teddy Campbell/Sy Smith (American Idol Band), Gladys Knight and music director for Hilary Duff touring all over the world. His guitar work can be heard in many feature films and film trailers such as 'The Day the Earth Stood Still' and the upcoming Tom Cruise/Cameron Diaz movie 'Knight and Day'. A Berklee College of Music graduate, Dave spent 6 years in New York City working with artists like Norah Jones and Greta Gertler. Aside from promoting his own drum 'n' bass fueled project 'The Dave Wood Trio' for 5 years in Los Angeles, he has been seen performing with American Idol winner Taylor Hicks, the David Foster produced band 'Big Dume' and grammy award winning jazz composer Maria Schneider. Dave has been seen on virtually every TV show including The Tonight Show, Ellen, Dancing with the Stars, Dick Clark's New Years Rockin Eve and many more. Dave started Music Evolutions Inc in 2003 to house his music studio and publishing company. He wrote his first book 'The Secret Guitar Method' in 2004 for aspiring guitarists everywhere and Music Evolutions Studios was featured in Electronic Musician Magazine for his first album 'Echappee'. In 2009 Dave, along with drummer/studio partner Mike Bennett, opened the music studio 'The Spot' in Los Angeles where they continue producing, writing and performing for artists around the world. He is currently endorsed by Gibson Guitars, Taylor Guitars, Fuchs Amplifiers and Dean Markley Strings.
