Random acts of jamming at various Norcal parties and festivals introduced the players Ryan Vandenbroeck, Martin Fierro, Marty Ylitalo and Dave Stein to each other to perform and ultimately record Velvet Hammer. With it's reputation for generating fresh, new and innovative sounds, San Francisco was the backdrop against which these musicians came together.
