He is a strolling minstrel and Music Director at the Bristol Renaissance Faire in Kenosha, Wisconsin, where he composes and arranges Renaissance Ballads and instrumental music for the entire cast of the show. Daniel has appeared at nearly one hundred schools and libraries throughout Illinois and Wisconsin, and most recently performed at forty libraries in Chicago as part of the Chicago Public Library Wrapped up in Reading Summer Program. He often performs with Judith Heineman: Master Storyteller, and The Whiskey Brothers Irish Band. Daniel is a member of the Illinois Arts Council Artstour Roster, and a 'Road' Scholar with the Illinois Humanities Council. Daniel received a Bachelor of Music in Voice Performance from Illinois Wesleyan University in 1996, and a Master of Music in Historical Musicology and Certificate of Early Music from Florida State University in 1998. In addition to being a versatile vocalist, Daniel plays Renaissance Lute, Medieval Gittern, Egyptian Oud, Elizabethan Cittern, Turkish Laouta, Recorder, Irish Tin Whistle, Bodhran, Puerto Rican Cuatro, French Bombard, Guitar, Tenor Guitar, Mandolin, and Trumpet. As a solo act, Daniel performs for audiences of all ages. These tales are full of comedy, tragedy, wit, and wisdom. Many of his tales are original compositions, carefully crafted to blend music, story, and poetry into an enlightening and mirthful show.
