Black Stepper and Super played a great role in influencing Terry's style of music. Reggae giants such as Bob Marley, Peter Tosh, Gregory Isaac and Super Cat would motivate Terry towards a Musical Mission. After performing a Dubplate for one of the top Sound System pieces about the Seba United Football Club, his friend Scully Banton introduced him to Top Rankin Records who produced his first single More Vibes in 1989 which created a buzz . Terry found himself amongst stars such as Sanchez, Flourgon, Daddy Lizard, Pinchers and Buju Banton. Super Beegles then wasted no time in recording Terry Ganzie on his Fresh Breed Production Label. While mixing at the Penthouse Camp Terry found himself amongst talented musicians Dave Kelly, Toney Kelly and Donovan Germain Beris Hammond, Marcia Griffiths, Cutty Ranks, Toney Rebel, and Buju Banton. His first single under Penthouse was Ya Mi Born, followed by Treat Woman Right, Hardware and Lumber, Whosoeverwill, Kings of Kings, Praise Jehovah, Once Bitten and Tribal War which featured Brian Toney Gold, Toney Rebel and Buju Banton. Singles Tongue Tied featured Wayne Wonder and Right Track featured Marcia Griffiths. Terry's first album released in 1992 on the Digital B & V.P. Records entitled Team Up. Listening to Ranking Joe inspired him to become a reggae MC, Reggae Chanter, (better known as a DJ). At nineteen Patrick Mayne became known as 'Tuffest' when he entered his first talent show, 'The Annual Spanish Town Champions'. Tuffest would later star on many local sound systems such as Ghetto International, Afro Tone, and Golden Star. He would soon appear on more established sound systems such as Arrows International where he shared the microphone duties with Tanto Metro, Peter Ranking, and Joe Fraser. Then it was on to Gemini Disco which featured his good friend Glamour Wayne. From there it was the world renowned sound system, the legendary 'King Jammys', with good friend and colleague Johnny P. This is his way of giving back to the industry that has been so good to him.
