Undercover on CD

This is the first Culture Pool record that was released at the end of 2008 in Germany by enjoy worlclubmusic, a new label. This record contains 4 very different pieces of music, which are played and sung and rapped by 27 musicians from a lot of different countries: Ahmet Bektas, Antonia Vassileva, Christoph Schmich, Clemens Moldenhauer, Dave Paca, Deana Vassileva, Fethi Ak, Infamous, Jelaldin Saljuki, Joyce Ouko, Mamadou Camara, Marc Iwaszkiewicz, Martin Nöllenheidt, Michael Antony, Millie Häuser, Miriam Suarez, Ömer Bektas, Ralf Jahn, Roxana Chegini, Shakti, Shane Coleman, Stu Grimshaw, Thomas Gillmeister, Werner Klinge, Yoshino. Culture Pool´s usual and very special kind of recording is, that one person starts with a basic idea and other ones continue with their own ideas and record them. At the point where a lot of material is collected the producer starts selecting and arranging the stuff. Then a few instruments or voices get added and the whole thing gets mixed. In this way the songs "Esta melodia de amor" and "Inspiration" have been made. "Undercover" grew up from a song-basic of Christoph Schmich. And "Ocean of time" was a good-luck-product. First take of guitar and vocal - it only should have been a demo for the producer, but it was so fascinating, that the producer took it directly in this way and only put some violins and a few other sounds on to it. Culture Pool isn't only a recording project, it's a live performing band, too. Usually the band contains about 12 musicians and often meet additional musicians from all cultures (not really all ... - laugh - ... but some ...) of the world. That's the most important thing for their music: the MEETING of different cultures.
