Codyt is a 21 year old aspiring guitarist, singer, and songwriter attending Valdosta State University in Valdosta, Ga. He grew up in the small town of Moultrie, Ga, about sixty miles north of Tallahassee, Fl. Cody picked up the love of guitar at the age of 9 years old, after his grandfather, a former professional Atlanta music artist of the sixties taught him some of the basic chords. 'I knew this was for me', quotes Cody, 'after finding it just so natural.' His new song, 'He Believed' is a personal dedication to his grandfather's gift of guitar. 'My teen years were great, playing sports and having those small town music gigs were always fun'. 'Some of my fondest memories are winning our high school baseball state championship and the long trip of playing guitar for all my team mates and coaches on the bus'. Now attending college, he has tried to stay local, playing in many clubs and restaurants in driving distance of the Valdosta area, not selling short the list of performances in front of hundreds. He has played in Colorado, Florida, South Carolina, Tennessee, for Toyota in Maui, Hawaii, and the most recent, a large college venue in Athens, Georgia. Cody's debut album entitled 'Listen' really gives a sense of his personality and love for music. There's something there for everybody; Pop, country, southern rock, with a touch of a few slow ballads. 'Only liking one genre of music is a little narrow minded in my opinion. If you want a good grasp of music you need an open mind for all genres to better understand how it effects different people'. 'I am so greatful and owe everything to my friends and devoted fans that are always there for me, even to help me load my equipment; Thank y'all so much'!
