Folk Code on CD

Release Date: October 2005 I don't usually do cover songs, but I've got two of them on this album. The album begins with Bob Dylan's classic 'Blowin' In The Wind.' Back in the 60's, my favorite band was 'The Byrds.' They used to take Dylan songs and pretty them up with harmonies and electric 12-string guitar. So, after I decided that the world needed to hear this song again, I just had to do it 'Byrds' style. The album ends with the title song 'The Folk Code,' written by my friend and fellow songwriter Tim Otto. In todays world, where truth is constantly compromised in favor of political correctness, and everything is reduced to it's lowest commercial value, the folk-troubadour is often the only one 'telling it like it is,' even though no one wants to hear it. As the song says: 'The truth had to be told.' In between are 10 of my own songs that I hope you will like. Thanks for listening. Chris Charles Recorded at Twang Music Studios in Portland Oregon. Mastering by Jon Lindahl at Fresh Tracks Studio. 'Blowin' In The Wind' written by Bob Dylan. 'The Folk Code' written by Tim Otto All other songs written by Chris Charles, Copyright 2005 BMI.
