I got my start in Catholic liturgical music when I was in 4th grade, and I've never looked back. Since then I've directed choirs, performed solo concerts, cantored at numerous churches and sung at more weddings and funerals than I can count. Best of all, I've loved every minute of it. I graduated from LaSalle High School in Milwaukie, OR, and while I was a junior there I was hired to direct the choir at the neighboring church, Christ the King. In the summer of 1994, after my graduation from Linfield College, I started a choir at Holy Family Church in SE Portland. It's been my privilege to be there for 14 years now. In the last couple years, I've also been honored to sing regularly at St. John's Catholic Church in Milwaukie, St. Joseph The Worker, and St. Henry's in Gresham. I owe so much to the clergy and congregations from those churches, who have supported me and encouraged me in my passion of music. Along the way, I've learned to play acoustic guitar, electric bass, keyboards, and sing a bit. On this CD, I've tried to give a sampling of music that I've come to love over the years, and a few of my recent compositions as well. I hope that you have as much fun listening to this as I did making it. May God continue to bless you and your loved ones. Chris Brunelle.
