When songs go on a journey. What, if they cross the Atlantic Ocean, go down the Aare and Rhine river, and up the Cumberland river? Needless to say that in the 21st century, songs are no longer delivered as a message in a bottle. It would take ages until Ruedi Birchler (aka Charlie Midnite) and Scott Neubert could exchange their song ideas. What would be a shame, because the Swiss from the Aargau (Birchler) and the American from Nashville are writing and composing outstanding and high flying songs together. Songs which adhere immediately in the auditory canal and loud and humble scream for a \'hit.\' Though the romantic idea of a message in a bottle gave way to a more speditive operation method: initial proposals and concepts and lyrics emerge on separate continents. It\'s not relevant where it happens, the result is important. But, don\'t worry: Swiss folklore music doesn\'t turn into country music, also there is no jodeling in Blues, and the hammer dulcimer is not a part of the new album of \'Midnite Creepers\', the new name of Birchler\'s and Neubert\'s song writing project. Ruedi Birchler has always shown great interest in American Rock dated back to the 70ies and 80ies, and was also very open to Country and Folk music (which you can hear on his 5 CD\'s where he acts as guitarist and backing singer in the \'Poker Alice Band\' a Swiss Rock Band originally coming from Aargau. Therefore a collaboration with Neubert is expedient. The singer and songwriter and the studio owner met for the first time in 2005, when Birchler traveled to Nashville with the Swiss Country musician Andy Martin. Thant\'s when Martin\'s album \'More\' was recorded. Since Birchler contributed a few songs, he wanted to be present during the recording. It was Martin who introduced Birchler to Neubert and his Smash Recording Studio, in which finally the Overdubs of last year\'s \'Poker Alice Album\' were recorded. This Album was eventually also confected and mastered by Neubert. The cooperation between the American and the Swiss became more intensified within the years: \'Midnite Creepers\' emerged from Birchler\'s songs and Neubert\'s production. Cracks were drawn from the legendary music scene which bring in the crisp Country Rock, the fresh southern feeling, melodies that sound as if Brooks & Dunn had met Lynyrd Skynyrd to a relaxing session. Cool guitarwork meet beautiful and extremely catchy melodies, which actually demand to be played on stage. But, as we say: good things take a while. The first suspected hit will be the single \'Honest\' and is being sent to various radio stations inland and abroad. Beginning of 2008 a second lift of a single will be done from the album and appear in October. Until then, tons of water will be streaming down the Aare and Cumberland River. What remains, are the timeless Country Rock Songs of \'Midnite Creepers\', some of the best which were arranged between the Old and New Continent in recent years. The traveling songs have touched the hearts of the audience without any deviations!
