Plan in It-EP on CD

This is the follow up release to the debut album from the "one-woman electronic avalanche" accused of being ahead of her time. Already played on BBC Radio 6 & Radio Sweden, this self-produced, recorded and mixed novelette is just as enigmatic, daring to be rare and real as caro continues to defy definition, predictable patterns and consumer category. Stoked by the debut album and feature film soundtrack process carried out in Berlin, caro returned to the UK (Manchester) to study audio engineering and here stands the latest snapshot of this firebird's curvatious learning. Nurtured by the toon, and after an Arts Council sponsored spell in the creative mecca of Berlin, this hardware poetess is ever-expanding recording and producing artists, organising Rare as a Green Dog events raising the profile of women in electronic arts and is also a community music facilitator. All whilst living with disabling chronic pain. A moody and broody EP (apart from the last in yer face mash-up ragga drum n bass satire track), it encapsulates the journey of a solitary and whole female working out/playing with the balance of connection and autonomy. With a refreshingly alternative riposte to dependent love relationship themes of too many pop songs, the tracks meander with caro's signature ambiguity, fancy wordplay, full-fat bottom end and sometimes sensual vocal delivery. Branching out, this hitherto lone stranger has invited a few instrumentalists into the mix to broaden the unconventional palate. Cover artwork by Fezbelle.
