Everlasting Praise on CD

Cara L. DuBois-Shelton 'She sings with the voice of an angel,' is often a statement made after hearing Cara sing. Cara's parents, Clyde and Linda DuBois recall Cara trying to sing holding a microphone in her hand at the age of two, before she was even able to talk well. Cara got her start early at Corinthian Baptist Church in the Cherub choir at the age of four. Her parents noticed her passionate love for music at an early age and enrolled Cara in piano lessons and encouraged her to participate in the choirs and theatrical performances throughout her academic career. While in high school, Cara began to take voice lessons where she learned to sing arias, sacred music, and art songs from a variety of time periods and in many different languages. Cara participated in the Ohio Music Education Association choral contests each year in high school and earned Superior ratings. Her senior year she was awarded the National Choral Award. Cara knew God had given her a very special gift and her desire is to use it for his glory. On January 11, 2004 Cara was licensed as a minister and is now the Minister of Music at Greater Bethlehem Temple Apostolic Church. Cara completed work on her debut album entitled, 'An Everlasting Praise,' and released it on November 20, 2004. Aside from singing, Cara gradutated from the University of Cincinnati in December 2005 with a Bachelor of Arts in Communication with a 3.5 GPA. She was an Honors Student and a Darwin T. Turner Scholar. In addition, Cara spends a great deal of time mentoring and tutoring young children and other college students. She has given keynote addresses and been the guest speakers at many different educational institutions, youth services and revivals. She has traveled extensively across the United States, Brazil and Israel. Although Cara has received numerous honors and recognition, including being one of the featured Youth Achievers in the 2005 Who's Who in Black Cincinnati, Cara continues to remain humble and focused on the incredible ministry God has placed in her heart. Her intense love for God and her passion for music along with her unquenchable determination have all contributed to this monumental moment in her life. With this album and with her ministry, Cara is hoping to touch the hearts of all her listeners and to lead those of every age, gender, nationality, and those from every walk of life to the presence of God.
