Warrior Years on CD

The Warrior Years takes in many emotional ups and downs that were part of the times. The emotion of a young man going into war with all the right attitudes to justify the war and why he was involved. Then coming to the realization that in many cases the war was not right, but the killing just went on. Seeing mankind in a different light, means one has to rethink things that use to be simple. Good Guys, Bad Guys - Cowboys and Indians gives you a small look into a mind that is having difficulty with the right or wrong side of the equation. Coming home to find your wife is with another man and your children are not your children anymore...that pain was about as much as a man can stand. The pictures you looked at every night for a year in combat...and now you had to hide them because you would break down and start crying, as the pain would rush into overtime. Purple Hearts and Silver Stars...becomes an issue for the political sides of warring on each other. That is still going on today...and one reason I became an independant voter for I see good and bad in all aspects of the political equation. It would appear mankind will continued onward throughout the centuries advancing based on the military need, rather than for God. War tends to drive us forward and we become very good at building warrior weapons. And yet, I know the military men and leaders are some of the noblest men I have every known or met. Both enlisted and officers are the best of the best, and they live a life of a warrior away from home. Like me, many of them had bad times in their relationships and many families fall apart during the years of war. Yet, as I mention in my poem, For God, Country and Our Corps I would fight again if called to do so. While our country makes mistakes...those mistakes are mostly done while learning. We saved many people around the world and young American service men and women gave their all. They deserve respect...so while listening to my songs you'll see I respect the protestors too. Thanks God we have a nation that allows for others to protest against war. They too have to be brave at times. Therefore, let me just continue to be a Constructive with a Libral attitude or a Libral with a Constructive attitude...for somewhere in the mix of things we find truth and honor for we are one nation under God.
