Back to Our Roots on CD

In musically fertile Rockingham County, NC, folks get together for musical conversations and sometimes they talk late into the night. Campus Tradition began by talking about making money for their local Habitat For Humanity. They joined their combined instrumental talents and their tight harmonies to create a sound that soon had folkis talking about them as they shared their talents at local events and festivals. Campus Tradition is proud of their heritage in the Blue Ridge Mountains of North Carolina and they draw much of their material from the old-time music that they grew up with. But they can jus as easily segue from Western numbers like 'Cool Water' to a rousing gospel number such as 'Just A Little Talk With Jesus.' Most of all, they are lucky to have some talented songwriters in the band whose songs often add humor to the mix. These are just the folks you wished lived next door -- guys who get together out of real joy and love for the music. It's good to know there is still homemade music in North Carolina. So brew up a tall glass of iced tea and open the windows. Your neighbors might be on the porch picking. Laura Boosinger.
