Children's Songs from Nature: Drawing Out the Huma on CD

Camille has been composing music for 40 years. She grew up in a family which created a nature oasis nestled in the high desert, beneath snow capped mountains in California, and singing was central to their lives. Her earliest compositions were lullabies inspired through love for her own children. These were followed by music for healing life on our beautiful planet Earth. In 1976 living with her family amongst the renowned gardens of Findhorn, Scotland, she regularly composed and sang meditation music within the international community. During that same year, her first album was an inspired recording on Iona Island in ancient St. Oran's Chapel known for it's amazing acoustics. Later, founding a small school surrounded by nature in Oregon, she encouraged children to create their own songs which were performed during seasonal festivals. After studying singing at Emerson College in England for two years and becoming a Waldorf teacher in New Zealand, she was a music and class teacher in a Waldorf school in Southern Oregon. For a number of years she wrote and directed musicals for her classes as well as co-composing musical dramas for local children's programs. On her 22 acres of meadows, woods, and creek in a valley sacred to the indigenous peoples of Mt. Shasta, she has hosted intergenerational family festivals of music, story, dance, nature game and ritual for our presently evolving consciousness. The focus of these festivals is to strengthen families, honor the generations and celebrate life on Mother Earth. This CD album is Camille's first for children. The songs embody lessons from nature, inspired during her walks among the acres that she is dedicating as a healing center/wildlife sanctuary for the coming generations. The music focuses on drawing out the human values of truth, peace, love, right action, and non-violence, and eclectic in essence, it is intended for a wide variety of schools/classes, for homeschooling, for families and the young-at-heart within the diverse cultures around the world. It is one of her contributions towards the human family finding a way of living in harmony with all of life.
