Symphonic Fusion on CD

Butterhead's first release, 'Symphonic Fusion-Live In '98', is the compositional debut CD by Patrick Latella. The CD features 5 original tracks, recorded live at the Fox Theatre in Boulder, Colorado. The CD is a powerhouse of live energy dance fusion. Patrick Latella's compositional style blends tight classical, funk, and jazz influences with swirling polyrhythms and live improvisation. Tracks 1, 3, 4, and 5 feature a 14 piece band including Beto Hale, Jamie Janover, Brian Juan, Paul Armstrong, Doug Scarborough, Darryl Abramson, Pete Wall, Dave Solzberg, Dave Lyons, Jeff Morace, Brian Fawcett, Rick DeMay, Chris Cline, and Patrick Latella. Recorded on October 5, 1998, this performance was an amazing balance of composition and improvisation. Track 2, 'Memorial Day', was recorded August 16, 1998 and features Christian Teele on drums, Vlad Girschevich on piano, Dave Solzberg on bass, Dave Lyons on percussion, and Patrick Latella on acoustic guitar. This track displays the masterful abilities of Christian Teele and Vlad Girschevich. Patrick Latella has been composing in Colorado for over 12 years, and finds inspiration in the majestic mountains, enchanted forests, and endless skies of the West. His compositions have been featured in the Warren Miller Ski Movies, 'Endless Winter' and 'Snowriders II'. He now plays in the band The Ethereal Plane.
