Playing with Ourselves on CD

Most people think the resurgence of garage rock took place in the early days of the 21st century, but Saginaw, Michigan's Bungee Deth Fest (BDF) beat everybody to the punch by ten years. Formed in 1992, they quickly took influence from Budweiser, MC5, The Replacements, Sonic Youth, Mudhoney, Blue Cheer and God knows what else. This potent melting pot created a fuzz-laden style of rock that wasn't exactly the 'grunge' sound that was popular at the time. Guitarists Dan Palmer and Tom Towns, drummer Matt Favazza and original bassist Craig Perry create an exciting sound that foreshadows the future sounds of The White Stripes and other great garage rock bands of the early 21st century. BDF's powerful sonic sound can be heard throughout this 1992 recording (originally released on cassette only). With tongue firmly placed in cheek, the band blasts through stand out tracks such as "(I hate) Mellow Music", "Screwed" & "Dork F***". This Deluxe Edition also includes the infamous fan favorite "Dope On A Rope" for the first time on CD and never released "Searchin' Around"! "Playing With Ourselves" (Deluxe Edition) is the first and most complete collection ever released on CD for past fans & people who will soon discover this hidden treasure of rock n' roll.
