Heavy Hitter on CD

The title for the band comes from a 1920's silent propaganda film against marijuana use. The main character has smoked a 'marijuana cigarette' and went completely 'Bughouse Loco' as the movie had stated. This describes the music quite well. The band is crazy in the fact that despite the vast amount of genres represented, there is a common ground to walk on. The ground may be on Mars, but it is a common ground nonetheless. BugHouseLoco May 2005 The sophomore self-titled album was released in 2 editions CD, and DVD Audiophile released in August 2005. The music is much different from the first album. Open Visioning for the Dream Impaired had 'world' feel to it and a little of that remains, but the style of this album is 'synthesizer and guitar' with a much more pop feel to it. Heavy Hitter Nov 2007 The third and latest endeavor is a departure from earlier recordings in that it has a hard rock feel with much less instrumental tracks. Several tracks contain double bass drumming and loud distorted guitars and vocals. A cover of Down Through the Night (Hawkwind) and heavy rock riffs like that on Shooting Gallery are examples of the space/stoner rock mood that this band is starting to embrace.
