Fondly known in the industry as 'BRUCE ALMIGHTY OF THE KEYS', the superlative musical talents of this renowned artist has granted Bruce an illustrious and exceptional career in both the classical and popular music professions. Trained from an early age in piano and organ, Bruce earned the B. MUS. Degree before completing one year's study at the Royal College of Music in England and at L'école des Hautes Musicales in Switzerland. He returned to Canada and the University of Western Ontario to earn the M.MUS. Degree in piano performance. The following years were spent honing his extraordinary skills as both Resident Pianist and Vocal Coach for Vancouver Opera and was Music Director of it's outstanding Touring Ensemble for seventeen seasons. During this time, Bruce dazzled audiences with his brilliant Cabaret show 'Bizet to Broadway' as well as creating a myriad of captivating solo performances on both land and on sea (Royal Princess and Royal Viking Cruise Lines). A consummate artist, performing and recording numerous recital and concert works, Bruce has enjoyed the prestigious honour of performing for such dignitaries as U.S. President George Bush, the King and Queen of Sweden, and various members of the British Royal Family. Film and movies beckoned and Bruce's incomparable abilities served him as Music Supervisor for Columbia Picture's 'Little Women', coaching and working with Claire Danes, Kirsten Dunst, Susan Sarandon, and Winona Ryder. Musical Theater demanded his unparalleled gifts accompanying the Canadian National Tour of 'Music of the Night' with Colm Wilkinson. He played keyboards and conducted performances of Hal Prince's 'Showboat' with Ned Beatty and Cloris Leachman in Vancouver and in Minneapolis. He returned to Vancouver as Associate Conductor for 'Sunset Boulevard' with Diahann Carroll. He fulfilled the same role in 'Phantom Of The Opera' with Peter Karrie and in 'Joseph And The Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat'. The past seven years have allowed Bruce the 'enviable task' of traveling the world several times over entertaining guests aboard the three ships of Crystal Cruise: Harmony, Symphony, & Serenity. 'A commanding mastery of the keyboard and an astounding versatility in performance, Bruce Johnson exemplifies the ultimate in luminous musical artistry and supreme entertainment.'
