Straight Up Solo Piano on CD

'Straight Up' Solo Piano Brad Hatfield The perfect companion to Emmy Award winning Pianist/Composer Brad Hatfield's 'Straight Up' Jazz and Cocktails CD, the music on this CD contains many of the same original songs, but played as a solo cocktail pianist. All these versions were written/performed for use in Film and Television when a scene called for elegant background jazz piano music. Many of these pieces have been used in films such as Analyze This, Jackie Brown, and television shows such as ER, Judging Amy, The Sopranos, Friends, soap operas, and countless others. If you've watched the Boston Pops on July 4th or their 'Evening at Pops' Broadcasts, you probably have seen Brad Hatfield performing with artists such as Patti Labelle, kd lang, James Taylor, and Martina McBride. If you've seen the movie 'Mystic River', you have heard Brad's featured solo piano playing Clint Eastwood's movie score, as a soloist, and with the Boston Symphony Orchestra. At the soundtrack recording session in Symphony Hall, Brad was asked by Clint to improvise on his theme, and several of those improvisations appear on the Soundtrack CD from Mystic River. For this recording, Brad has drawn upon years of experience as a pianist providing relaxed, sophisticated listening music. This CD will surely provide the right mood for brunches, cocktails, dinner, and any time you want to hear some light and swinging 'tinkling on the keys'.
