Hood Thing on CD

"Hood Thing" is the long awaited debut from Bonez. It features the street anthem "Hood Thing", The club banger "Side 2 Side", and "Hustlin'". His sound is a mix of raw street poetry and drum driven synth/Rhodes provided by Charlie Mack Beats. This album also features production from AL-G (857's DJ/Producer) and the vocal talent of Marloe (Singer/Songwriter/Producer). "Hood Thing" has a sound that is missing in today's Hip-Hop/Rap scene. The Strong Island Don Emerges.... "In a genre of music dictated by formula we aspire to offer something different." Bonez is an artist who's inspiration comes from his journey through life. Love, hate, joy, anger, and frustration are lived through the words of his songs. At a young age, he was introduced to crime in the form of bootlegging and drug dealing. He always had an interest in music, but it wasn't until he met YKC (Of 857) that the interest became a desire. In between classes at Amityville High School, Bonez & YKC would write rhymes and hang out. YKC introduced Bonez to a local producer named Charlie Mack. Bonez and Charlie Mack hit the studio but a near fatal car accident & legal trouble slowed the process. Then in 2004, Bonez committed himself to fight his addiction to alcohol. That led to the release of "Trials of life" in 2005. "Trials of life" was considered to be a mix tape promotion for Bonez' debut. Bonez and Charlie Mack work with a chemistry reminiscent to Gang Starr's Guru & Dj Premier to create music that is often compared to Tupac, Nas, The Game, Notorious BIG, Mobb Deep, And The LOX.
