Christmas Jazz on CD

CHRISTMAS JAZZ 'Seventeen Worldwide Favorites' As we approach the Christmas season, this is a special period that affords us the opportunity to praise our Lord and Savior on his birthday, to take stock of our lives and set a course for the future and to enjoy the wintry offerings. In the midst of this magical period, it has been said that one of the best ways to fully appreciate the period is through the medium of song. So, on this CD we offer seventeen of the most outstanding and recognizable Christmas favorites for your listening pleasure. We are quite fortunate to have a number of outstanding musicians who have extensive resumes, direct their own musical enterprises but who are always available to assist with our projects. Some of the vocalists you'll hear on this CD are Esther Williams on "I'll Be Home For Christmas" and "O Little Town of Bethlehem", Joy McClure on "Do You Hear What I Hear?" and "Jesus, O What A Wonderful Child", Russell Wright on "Give Love On Christmas Day"" and "Let It Snow" and Dick Smith on "What Are You Doing New Year's Eve?" The legendary pianist Alex Jenkins displays his mastery on "White Christmas", "O Little Town Of Bethlehem" and "Sleigh Ride". The preparation and production of a CE requires ongoing assistance and commitment of people who are able to regularly place projects of this nature above their own personal interests. The inception, planning and coordination for this CD were spearheaded by Connie Stevens, James Butts and Robert "Bobby" Felder, recognized nationally but affectionately on the east coast as the Dean of Washington, DC Jazz Musicians.
