Party's Almost Over on CD

Rock with a brain. The Party's Almost Over is about surviving turbulent times in America in addition to celebrating lessons gained by living in it. The title refers to convenient times of the past when it was often easier for common, hard-working Americans to defer wrestling with profound moral and political issues. Bob Nesom is a long-time singer, instrumentalist and songwriter from the Northeast, originally from a working-class seaside town and recently from Cape Cod. He is popular among his fans for his wide-ranging vocals, versatile nylon-string performances with an edge and most of all his thought-provoking songs that make no uncertain statements of the times and sometimes of the heart. Capturing the passion and complexity of feelings we have about issues that mean a great deal to us, Nesom's lyrics and music are mature but youthful at the same time. His articulate messages, often profound but made clear and enjoyable by strong melodies and compelling arrangements, are sung passionately on a journey you will be glad you made. Although he has a style and sound very much his own, he describes himself as a folk rock artist influenced by the giants of the past. The album was engineered masterfully by renowned musician Bob Yen, Jr. at MDI studios in Plymouth, Massachusetts. As tracks were done and sessions completed, it became increasingly clear by the sound engineering team and musicians that the endeavor would be something special. This is a listening experience that is quite enjoyable and made interesting by a wonderful style of folk rock that is truly Bob Nesom's own. A troubadour for today's times.
