Blues Dude on CD

The Blues Dude's plucky persona prevails whenever he's performing live on stage. The Blues Dude plays guitar and sings among many other talents. He has paid his dues and played the blues, and his music rocks! Without any doubt his bass licks are DA BOMB! His guitar licks are the charm. His CD is fresh out of the starting blocks. He's in motion, and you'll be moving too when you hear his debut Rock/Pop CD, 'The Blues Dude' The Blues Dude, a California native, has many music influences from Funk to Gospel, Classical to Jazz, and Blues to Rock. His two favorite artists are Keb Mo and John Mayer. His music runs along the same styles as Jimi Hendrix, Ernie Isley, and Lenny Kravitz; and his vocals pattern that of Keb Mo, Sly Stone, and Ray Parker Jr. To him, Rock came like a passing ship in the night. He got on board and has never jump ship. Back in the eighties, while living in Compton, California, he was privileged to see Marvin Gaye's last record being mixed by guitarist Gordon Banks - the song was titled 'Sexual Healing', which became a hit. He sat in on numerous sessions that took several months before the song's completion, and that was priceless experience. He was able to convert that valuable experience into his own production on this debut CD. The Blues Dude's first break was when he played bass in a Reggae band in competition for the Budwieser Showdown at the Hollywood Live club where his band won. Shortly afterwards, during the nineties, The Blues Dude was paying his dues by playing in rock clubs all over Los Angeles with many talented bands. Now as an AFM member, The Blues Dude's first CD is mostly a variety of songs produced with ideas, instrumentations, and total improvisations, with lots of guitar, and of course what else? Everything else! The first two songs, Billy's Bounce and Hey Money, rock you like an earthquake with powerful lyrics and vocals over jamming guitar licks. You may have heard The Blues Dude in Santa Monica at Club Harvells playing bass with a band from Texas called Hodges and the Buffalo Sound, or you may have seen him from time-to-time performing at L.A. nightclubs including, The Roxy, The Troubador, The Whiskey, Fais-Dodo, and Key Club. There's one thing for certain, The Blues Dude is on the move. Get your copy of his debut CD while you can.
