Send Me on CD

Northwest Native Billie Tarascio was born and raised a cradle catholic in the small town of Roseburg, Oregon. Billie spent her childhood winning competitions, awards and generally wooing audiences with her remarkable vocal talent. She attended Roseburg high school where she participated in both athletics and choirs and finished high school in three years. Next she attended University of Oregon for college and finished her bachelor's degree two and a half years later. Then in 2001, Billie discovered the use of contemporary music in mass due to Lifeteen, the international catholic youth ministry program. At that point, all of the vocal training and career aspirations of singing turned to ministry. She continued on to University of San Diego Law School, married her husband Tony and settled in Eugene, Oregon. She and Tony continued to be involved in lifeteen music ministry at St. Mary Parish in Eugene. Tony was eventually deployed with the Oregon National Guard to Iraq leaving Billie and her young son with another on the way. It was during this time of separation worry and grief that the songs on the album Send Me were born. Up until then she had never written music, and upon discovering she could, she wrote more than 30 songs in 30 days, nine of those songs are on the album Send Me. In addition to being a wife, mother and music minister, Billie owns and operates a legal clinic for self-representing clients. She continues to be active in her Parish ministry, travels with her band, and her songs are currently being sung in parishes across the country. For more information, visit her website.
